1. Acceptance
By using this website or creating a CIKBS account, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, and any event-specific rules presented during registration. Participation also requires acceptance of the current tournament rules and participant waiver.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts may not be transferred. Participants under 18 must meet the minor-participation requirements in the tournament rules and provide parent or guardian consent.
3. Proposed season information
Dates, venues, fees, formats, payouts, capacity, and launch details remain subject to permits, weather, water conditions, insurance, and final director approval. CIKBS may modify or cancel an event when reasonably necessary for safety or operations.
4. Registration and payments
A registration is not complete until CIKBS confirms eligibility and successful payment. Current portal payments are simulations and do not reserve a real tournament position. When paid registration opens, payment processing will be handled by a third-party provider under its terms.
5. Participant conduct
Members and guests must follow applicable laws, venue regulations, safety instructions, tournament rules, and standards of sportsmanship. CIKBS may suspend an account, reject a registration, remove a participant, or disqualify results for safety concerns, fraud, harassment, rule violations, or conduct harmful to the series.
6. Website content
CIKBS names, logos, graphics, written materials, and original photographs may not be used commercially without permission. Anglers retain ownership of their original submissions but grant CIKBS permission to use submitted catch images and event media for scoring, results, reporting, and reasonable series promotion.
7. Disclaimers and limitation
The website is provided on an “as available” basis. Outdoor recreation and tournament fishing involve risks that cannot be eliminated. To the extent permitted by law, CIKBS is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from website outages, schedule changes, third-party services, or participation. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by Illinois law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any provision found unenforceable will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue.
