This policy should be reviewed when payment processing, email delivery, analytics, or a tournament-scoring platform is selected.
1. Information we collect
CIKBS may collect your name, email address, Google account identity, phone number, hometown, kayak information, emergency-contact name and phone number, membership status, event registrations, waiver acknowledgements, payment status, and communications with the series. We also receive basic technical information needed to operate the website, such as session cookies, browser information, IP address, and security logs.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, administer memberships and tournaments, communicate schedule or safety updates, verify eligibility, process registrations, maintain results and season points, respond to questions, prevent fraud, and comply with legal or insurance requirements.
3. Emergency-contact information
Emergency-contact details are used only for safety, incident response, and event administration. Members should provide this information only with the contact's knowledge. CIKBS does not publish emergency-contact information.
4. Service providers
CIKBS uses Cloudflare for hosting and security, Supabase for authentication and database services, and Google for optional account sign-in. When paid registration opens, a payment processor such as Stripe may process payments. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. CIKBS does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
5. Sharing
CIKBS does not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers, tournament directors, scoring officials, insurers, permitting authorities, or emergency personnel when reasonably necessary. Public results may include an angler's name, placement, score, photographs, and awards.
6. Retention and security
We retain records for as long as reasonably needed for tournament administration, accounting, dispute resolution, safety, insurance, and legal obligations. We use access controls and row-level database security, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by contacting CIKBS. Some records may be retained where required for financial, safety, insurance, or legal purposes. You may disconnect Google access through your Google Account settings.
8. Children
The website is not directed to children under 13. A minor may participate only under the published event rules and with all required parent or legal-guardian consent.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the series and its service providers change. Material changes will be posted here. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to info@cikbs.org.
