The deadlines below are proposed defaults. They take effect only when real payments open and should be checked against permit, insurance, payout, and payment-processing requirements.
Annual membership
Annual membership fees are non-refundable after activation, except for duplicate charges or a payment made in error that is reported promptly. Membership does not guarantee entry into any particular event.
Event withdrawals
- Withdrawal at least seven calendar days before the scheduled event: refund of the event entry fee, less any non-refundable processing charge disclosed at checkout.
- Withdrawal fewer than seven calendar days before the event: no refund, because permits, capacity, payouts, and event expenses may already be committed.
- No-show or disqualification: no refund.
Event cancellation
If CIKBS cancels an event and does not reschedule it, entrants may choose a refund of the event entry fee or a credit toward another CIKBS event in the same season. Membership fees, travel, lodging, licenses, equipment, and other personal expenses are not reimbursed.
Weather and venue changes
Fishing is an outdoor activity. A delayed launch, shortened competition period, boundary adjustment, or venue change does not automatically create a right to a refund. The tournament director will prioritize safety and communicate any available credit or refund when circumstances materially prevent the event from proceeding.
Transfers and chargebacks
Entries may not be transferred to another person without written director approval. Participants should contact CIKBS before disputing a charge so the issue can be investigated. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension.
Requesting a refund
Send the member name, event, and reason for the request to info@cikbs.org. Approved refunds will be returned through the original payment method and may take several business days to appear.
